Dwayne Blake is also known as DJ D-Dubs, is a multi-genre urban DJ, Promoter, Radio Host and Remixer, who can cater to a wide variety of crowd with a dynamic play style.

Dwayne Grow up listening to a wide range of music. His father is DJ Mike Ruff-Cut Lloyd and is known in the house and garage music scene. His uncle is an MC for a sound crew, would listen to reggae music, and his mother would listen to R&B and Soca music. With this mix of genres, Dwayne’s first love was with Hip-hop music. He bought his first-ever CD, Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff, ‘Boom shake the room’ in 1999 and grew his music collection from there on with his own money.

The interest in DJing started from a young, where he was taught by his father on Vinyl. He got his first pair of CD decks at 14 and would begin making mixes by recording them on cassette tapes and playing them on his Walkman while at school. During college, he played at small parties and family events. During this time, he discovered his love for dancehall music, which significantly impacted the music that he played and listened to.

It wasn’t until University where he met his good friend Kayes and created “D&K Productions”, a DJ Duo consisting of D-Dubs and Kayes. We started playing at Uni events and house parties. This would lead us to play around the country, having residences at a few venues in Luton / London and joining an internet radio station, “JamRock radio”.
